History

We formed a band back around 1980 in Jackson, Tennessee.

We practiced - a lot. Everyday after school we got together for a 2-hour session where we worked on new original songs and played over our complete finished repertoire. We were really disciplined and dedicated.

Even though we practiced a lot and had a pretty decent catalog of original songs, we never really play many gigs. The idea of just being a band and writing originals was our main focus. In fact, we might have done 2 gigs total.

One of those gigs was on a hot summer afternoon at Highland Park where we participated in a battle of the bands competition (pictured above) sponsored by the local music store, Cecil's Bandstand.

Another time, we played a barn party, on a cold December night, somewhere on the south side of town. We used the $50 we made to book a recording session at Rayburn Anthony's studio, located on the Highway 45 bypass near Hollywood Blvd. We didn't even know at that time that Rayburn Anthony was a Sun Studio legend. We recorded 3 songs, one of which found its way onto the airwaves of the local rock radio station.

After our time in Jackson, our paths diverged, but we never completely lost touch. Somehow, we figured we'd do more music at some point. So, here we are, now living in different locations, and using the internet, which we didn't have or need back in 1980, to break down the barriers of phyical distance. We have embraced this technology to help us collaborate in the modern world. So far, it's working well. We are excited to be here and for you to be here with us!

Please feel free to enjoy our music, leave comments, and even make a donation if you like what you hear.
